Matt Sandlin #17 Football News Position Review: QB Matt Sandlin at Tuscaloosa County HS High School in Alabama has a great frame, excellent accuracy, poise in the pocket, and the arm strength to make all the necessary throws. Sandlin is great talent with tremendous upside. Sandlin brings to the table a lot of zip on the ball, excellent vision, pocket awareness, and a Tebow fullback style of running. He throws well on the run or in the pocket. Has great mechanics and is very fundamentally sound. Has good footwork and a nice quick release. Shows good ability to escape the pocket and throw on the run. Has solid arm strength and knows when to gun it and when to add some touch. Made the switch to the 6A classification and is quickly beginning to dominate at the higher competition
